This GlenDronach 27 years 1992, which is filled as part of Batch 18 of the single cask series, lets you experience how maturing in a single sherry cask takes the character of this whiskey to unprecedented heights. Distillation took place in 1992, after which one Oloroso puncheon cask 7411 was selected for maturation. After 27 long years, 658 bottles were filled with an alcohol percentage of 53.2% in 2020.
The scent of this GlenDronach 27 years Oloroso takes some time in the glass to fully open, but once this happens you will discover tantalizing hints of raisins, toffee, berries, leather and a cedar wood cigarette box. Rich flavors of plum, apricot puree and raisin cake merge into each other in the mouth, while syrupy notes of caramel, complemented with cloves, are abundantly present in the aftertaste.
