Weingut Fehres

Weingut Harald Konrad Fehres

You will find this winery in the center of Brauneberg under the leaning tower of the Simultankirche, right on the foothills of the Moselle overlooking the imposing Brauneberger Juffer and Juffer-Sonnenuhr vineyards. The vineyards of Harald Konrad Fehres are located here, as are the Brauneberger Mandelgraben, Veldenzer Kirchberg, Bernkasteler Schlossberg and Burgener Hasenläufer locations.

Wine region information:

The Moselle is the German wine region around the Moselle river of the same name. Wine has been made here since the fourth century. Around the year 800 it was Charlemagne who ensured strict legislation, grape selection and a search for the best locations to plant grapes. The Moselle grew into one of the largest, most important and most valued wine regions in Europe.

More than 5000 hectares of land are planted with the typical German Riesling grape. Many vineyards are planted on the steep hills along the Moselle River. The climate in the Moselle is quite mild. The region produces many fresh, white wines, with a low alcohol content. A good Moselle is fruity and contains a lot of sugar, without being too sweet in taste.
