The Claxton's Exploration Series Bunnahabhain Staoisha 7 years old 2013 is a 7 years old and heavily peated Islay single malt from the Bunnahabhain distillery distillery bottled in the Exploration Series, especially as a Netherlands Exclusive, by the independent bottler Claxton's. This Bunnahabhain was distilled on October 28, 2013 and matured in an Oloroso sherry quarter cask. It was bottled on March 26, 2021 at 50%, non chill filtered and without the addition of coloring agents.
Nose: Burning wood, barbecue smoke, peat smoke, tanned leather, black coffee and dark chocolate.
Taste: Fried spare ribs, liquorice, sweet (wok) oil. Sweet peat smoke. Outspoken.
Finish: Powerful, sweet peat smoke, burnt sugars.
