We are delighted to launch the Founders' Legacy Collection, featuring classic Ki No Bi, Ki No Bi Sei, Ki No Tea, Edition G and Edition K, to allow Ki No Bi enthusiasts around the world to enjoy the ultimate expression of exquisite Kyoto craftsmanship. The five gins have been filled into bottles specially decorated by local goldsmith Horikin, founded in 1711 and located on Oike in central Kyoto, a short walk from House of Ki No Bi. Gold leaf has been applied by hand to every bottle, meaning no two are the same. The five-bottle collection comes packaged in a Kiribako wooden box, lovingly created in Kyoto by a multi-generational family business. It is made of paulownia wood in a style that has been used in Japan for many centuries to protect valuable items. The design of the lid of the box (and on some of the bottles) is taken from a hangi woodblock design from Kira Karacho, a karakami atelier with roots dating back to 1624. Just 75 of the inaugural Ki No Bi Founders' Legacy Collections will be released.
