Innovative and surprising. After a visit to a Porthous in Porto the idea rose to use the same method to produce a 'Porto' out of beer. A specially brewed barleywine is , after a few days of fermentation, put to strength by adding grainalcohol. The fermentation is put to hold with lots of remaining sugars. The sweet 'reinforced' barleywine is the aged for multiple years on oak barrels and, in the proces 'portorized'. Only available in a 4 year version.
