The 2010 Syrah Gran Reserva is a blend of four distinctive areas of the Maipo Valley of Chile. 40% comes from the Alto Maipo region, adding ripe black fruit flavors. 31% of the blend is sourced from the cooler eastern side of the coastal mountains near the Leyda Valley which adds inking color and smoky meaty cool climate notes. Isla Maipo fruit makes up 26 % of the blend which is the red fruit and flower spicy notes in the blend plus 3% from the Maria Pinto region which adds structure and cherry notes.
