The Kilchoman 100% Islay 15th Edition is an Islay single malt from the Kilchoman distillery. This lightly peated Kilchoman, with 20 ppm, is an annual release made from its own barley. This 15th edition is a combination of Concerto and Publican barley from the 2014 and 2015 vintages. The whisky distilled from it was matured in 54 ex-bourbon barrels, bottled in 2025 at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered and without added color, as a limited small-batch release.
Official tasting notes:
Nose: Vanilla, tropical fruits, fresh hay, and toasted oak with grassy notes and salted butter.
Palate: Milk chocolate, salted caramel, and fresh peat smoke with candied citrus fruits, lemon, ripe pear, and hints of white pepper.
Finish: Lingering maritime peat smoke with fresh fruits and honeyed sweetness.
