This Springbank 10 Years Old is a 10-year-old Campbeltown single malt from the Springbank distillery. This Springbank has matured in both sherry and bourbon casks and is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% without added coloring. This is the 2025 bottling.
Nose: True Springbank style of the late 60s, phenolic with mineral notes, waxy, with briny notes of the coast (shells) and scents of a farmyard, resinous (pine needles), followed by aromas of bitter oranges but less than in earlier recent Springbanks.
Taste: Beautiful rich and oily notes, much pepier than other Springbanks, as if they added a few casks from a Longrow to the blend, followed by notes of pepper, briny and waxy with aromas of lime and orange.
Finish: Long, beautifully peated with notes of lime and a hint of pepper.
