Springbank’s popular 12-year-old cask strength expression was introduced in 2010 and is released twice a year. Springbank 12 Years Old Cask Strength Batch 29 has been fully matured in bourbon casks, allowing Springbank’s classic coastal and lightly peated character to shine through. The single malt was bottled in 2026 at 56.6%. The nose is sweet and inviting, with aromas of fruit salad candy, raspberry ripple, dried mango, frosting and dark chocolate. The complexity builds in the palate with notes of smoked cayenne pepper, crushed chillies, toffee and charred steak. Gentle peat smoke emerges in the finish, along with notes of pink grapefruit, cocoa powder, glazed cherries and salted pretzels.
