Ardbeg 15 Years Anthology Tasting Notes
The aroma reveals a rich spiciness, hints of tar, and smoky spices. A touch of sweetness is added by the presence of roasted apple and raisins. With the addition of water, hints of menthol, eucalyptus, fennel, and pine open. The palate opens with rich peat notes, hints of coffee beans, and berries. Lemon notes, smoky mandarin, and layers of smoke follow. The aftertaste is long and notes of smoked butter and vanilla are particularly noticeable.
