Like many other champagnes, Armand de Brignac’s Brut Gold is a blend of different vintages. The major difference is that they call this a ‘multi-vintage’. Compare it to the difference between a soloist playing the violin and an entire orchestra playing together. This iconic cuvée is a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier, and 20% Chardonnay. You taste peach, apricot, red currants, citrus fruit, brioche, toast, vanilla, and honey. The complexity comes in part from the unique dosage, which has matured in oak barrels for a year.

Pinot Noir
This grape produces fruity red wines loved for their aromas of red fruit and spices. And a long, smooth finish with soft tannins. Perfect with duck, chicken, and pork.

Pinot Meunier
The Pinot Meunier grape yields light, fresh, and fruity wines with a soft finish. Delicious with fresh salads, grilled chicken, or creamy fish dishes.

Chardonnay
Many different wines can be made with the Chardonnay grape; from subtle, very fresh Chablis to oak-aged, rich, full-bodied wines.
