Balvenie 12 Year Old Curious Casks Limited Edition Montilla Wine Seasoned Cask
The Balvenie Curious Cask Collection is the result of a collaboration between Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie and Samples Coordinator George Paterson. With this special bottling, the two honor and celebrate their close partnership.
This exceptional single cask bottling matured for 12 years in a European oak cask that previously held a rich, sweet wine from Montilla, Spain. Kelsey McKechnie personally selected the cask for this unique whisky. The single malt delights with candied sweetness, an intense vanilla and oak aroma, warm spice notes, and delicate fruit hints. Several such casks were bottled for different markets – always without chill filtration, without added coloring, and in this case, at 47.3% ABV.
