CLIMATE & TERROIR: Mild continental climate with long, cold
winters and warm, often dry summers. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 300
meters on south- and southeast-facing slopes. The
soil contains limestone and marl.
WINIFICATION: The grapes are fermented for 22-25 days in
stainless steel tanks at a temperature between 30 and 32°C.
Aging takes place in oak barrels for 30 months. The wine then
aged for a long time in the bottle.
GRAPES: Nebbiolo
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 14.50%
NOIS & TASTE: Beautiful ruby-red color with orange reflections
that increase with age. The aroma is intensely fruity
with spices, leather, and tobacco. The palate is full and velvety on the
palate with a very long finish. SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve with rich meat dishes,
game dishes, and dishes with truffles.
TIP: The grapes for this wine come from three different
villages. Monforte d’Alba adds power, Verduno provides elegance, and the
balance is guaranteed with Barolo.
