The southern French appellation Côtes de Gascogne is blessed with an ideal climate for producing fresh, fruity white wines. The cool breeze from the Atlantic Ocean to the west cools the vineyards, allowing the grapes to develop intense fruit aromas. The grapes are harvested at night and then fermented at a low temperature. This preserves the fresh fruit aromas and creates expressive wines that are versatile and perfectly match the tastes of modern consumers. White wines from Gascony are often a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and the indigenous Colombard and Gros Manseng.

CLIMATE & TERROIR: The Côtes de Gascogne is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, resulting in wet and mild winters. Summers are warm with plenty of sunshine. The region has alluvial soil with clay and sand. The vineyards are situated on gently rolling hills. VINIFICATION: The grapes, harvested at night, are macerated for 24 hours on the skins and fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks. The juice is then aged at 0°C for 40 days to maximize the fruit aromas. After maturing on the lees (yeast sediment), the wine is bottled.
