The Cabernet Sauvignon for this wine comes from high-altitude plots around Limoux and along the Pyrenees. The lower temperatures and poor soil here in the far south of the Languedoc ensure smaller but deeply concentrated harvests. Immediately after harvesting, the Cabernet wine made in stainless steel is aged for a long time in French oak barrels.

The Syrah for the Beauté du Sud comes from warmer plots and gives the final blend its sultry fruity baggage and creamy taste. This, combined with the spiciness of Cabernet and toasted tones and vanilla from wood maturation, makes the wine a wonderful aperitif or companion to meat dishes and salty cheeses.

CLIMATE & TERROIR: A Mediterranean climate with warm summers
and fairly mild winters. The terroir has chalky sandy and red
clay soil full of stones. The Cabernet for this wine comes from high-altitude
plots around Limoux and along the Pyrenees. VINIFICATION: The grapes are fermented in stainless steel
tanks, after which the blending takes place.
GRAPES: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 13.50%
NOIS & TASTE: The sultry, ripely harvested Syrah in combination with
the "cooler" Cabernet from higher plots provide a
wine that is creamy, sultry and spicy, but at the same time has beautiful tannins,
fine acids and a pleasant cassis note.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve with meat dishes, cheeses and
charcuterie. Due to its round, soft tannins and ripe style, it is
also delicious as an 'evening wine'.
FACT: The literal translation of 'Beauté du Sud' is 'beauty
of the south'.

Alcohol: 13%
