Blue Spot 7 Cask Strength
Blue Spot 7 Year Old Cask Strength is a special Irish single pot still whiskey that has been re-released after more than 56 years, thus completing the legendary Spot series from Mitchell & Son. This whiskey is produced in the Midleton distillery and matures for at least seven years in a combination of bourbon casks, sherry butts and Portuguese Madeira casks, which ensures a rich layering and a unique character. The bottling takes place at cask strength, usually around 58.7% to 59.1% alcohol, which underlines the intensity and pure character of the whiskey. Blue Spot 7 is not cold filtered and contains no colorants, so that all natural aromas and oils are preserved. The annual release is limited and is seen by enthusiasts as a piece of Irish whiskey history, where tradition and innovation come together in one bottle. This whiskey can be discovered at Gevo Slijterij.
