Taste & Aroma
After almost 20 years of aging, you can expect:
• Honey, dried apricot, peach
• Orange peel, candied citrus
• Blossom, sometimes a light caramel
• Still fresh acidity (typical Mosel), preventing it from becoming thick
Maturation & Condition
• Beerenauslese Rieslings can age for decades
• The 2005 is currently in a wonderful drinking phase, but can often still be enjoyed for years to come
• As long as the bottle is stored properly (cool/dark), this is a top-notch bottle
What to drink it with?
• Blue cheese (Roquefort, Stilton)
• Foie gras
• Fruit desserts (apricot, apple, citrus)
• Or neat as a meditation wine
