Bruichladdich’s Octomore is some of the most heavily peated single malt in the world. The series was launched in 2008 and it has since gained a cult following of peat lovers all around the world. Edition 16 features three whiskies that build upon each other in an unorthodox experimentation of terroir, cask management and peat levels—with each single malt having its own distinct and unique character. Bruichladdich Octomore Edition 16.3 is an ultra-high provenance single malt, exploring the influence of barley grown exclusively in a single field on Octomore Farm, Islay. It uses barley harvested from Church Field and malted to an extraordinary 189.5ppm. The spirit matured for 5 years in bourbon, Sauternes and Pedro Ximénez casks, and is bottled at a powerful 61.6%.
