Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label brut is exceptionally stylish in both appearance and taste. Its full, robust structure and rich flavor make it a true delight. This is a Champagne for the connoisseur (true gourmets).

Veuve Clicquot, founded in 1772, rose to fame under the leadership of widow Barbe-Nicole Ponsardin in 1805. Her motto, "only one quality, the finest," still guides the second-largest Champagne house in the world. The dominance of Pinot Noir (50-55%) creates the structure so characteristic of Veuve Clicquot, while a touch of Meunier (15-20%) rounds out the blend. Chardonnay (28-33%) adds elegance and finesse. Grapes from no fewer than 50 to 60 different crus go into the Yellow Label blend. To achieve the consistency year after year that makes Yellow Label so instantly recognizable, the blend contains 30-45% reserve wines from previous vintages. The iconic Yellow Label—now the most recognizable color in Champagne—dates back to 1877 to easily distinguish the then-new brut champagne from sweeter bottles in the cellars. This distinctive label color perfectly embodies the house's pioneering heritage and bold joie de vivre.
Color: Golden yellow with playful, dynamic bubbles.
Nose: Yellow and white fruit, followed by notes of vanilla and brioche.
Taste: Fruity, fresh, and powerful with pear, citrus, and notes of extended bottle aging, developing into a beautiful vinous finish full of diverse fruit and almond.
Perfect Serve: Ideal as an aperitif and perfect as a Champagne to enjoy with food.

Flavor Profile and Characteristics

Taste: Experts at Gall.nl describe the taste as exceptionally stylish, with a rich and full-bodied experience that combines both power and finesse.
Composition: The blend is composed of grapes from 50 to 60 different crus, primarily Pinot Noir (50-55%) for structure, Chardonnay (25-30%) for freshness, and Pinot Meunier (15-20%) for suppleness. The addition of reserve wines gives the champagne greater depth and consistency.
