A superb Irish whiskey, matured in a blend of Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon casks, before being aged for two years in Madeira casks. Produced in limited quantities, each bottle is numbered. After the Millennium Malts released in 2000, 21 Years Old is the oldest Bushmills ever bottled. The result is a rich and delicately sweet whiskey that characterizes the smoothness of the finest Irish whiskeys.
Nose:
Refinedly sweet and opulent, aromas of caramel toffee and dark chocolate are accompanied by fruity notes of raisins, figs, grapefruit, and mango, and spiciness of cinnamon, ginger, and tobacco, with a subtle espresso accent.
Palate:
Silky, fruity notes of plums, grapes, grapefruit, mango, and papaya mingle with notes of honey, vanilla, black coffee, a hint of coconut, and a delicate spiciness.
Finish:
Long and warm with notes of mint and licorice.
