Château Dereszla Tokaji Szamorodni Édes is a classic, sweet Tokaj that remains true to the centuries-old Hungarian wine tradition. The word szamorodni means "as it has grown," and that is precisely how this wine is made: from bunches in which healthy and botrytis-affected Furmint grapes are harvested together. The result is a natural sweetness with a beautiful balance of ripe fruit, honeyed richness, and lively acidity. The wine is vinified in stainless steel and then aged for two years in traditional Tokaj barrels in the cellars of the historic Château Dereszla in Bodrogkeresztúr. The wine then receives a minimum of bottle aging before release. This creates a Tokaji that is both rich and fresh, more approachable than Aszú, yet with the same noble layers.
