Vinification:
For this wine, the grapes from a selected plot are picked at night to preserve the freshness of the fruit. The vineyards are fully managed by the Perrin family. The vineyards are on limestone soil. Vinification takes place under controlled temperature in stainless steel, again to preserve the freshness of the fruit. Finally, it is briefly matured on the lees.
Food and wine:
This beautiful quality rosé can be used gastronomically. For example with light fish dishes, Fruit de Mer, Mediterranean salads, (spiced) goat cheese or Provencal dishes such as ratatouille or tapenades
Background information:
This new wine, a beautiful quality rosé that will amaze every wine lover. The grapes come from the well-known Provence region of Sainte-Victoire, also known for its rich limestone soil or terroir. A beautiful, full and fruity Rosé with a wonderful minerality that is gastronomically very suitable.
From 1970 until a few years ago, Château Miraval was owned by Jacques Loussier, a passionate wine lover and well-known jazz pianist who made music recordings of Pink Floyd, Sting and Sade in his Miraval studio.
Since 2008, the Château has been Brad Pitt's summer residence. The wine cellar dates from the nineteenth century, with the wooden barrels currently resting in the cellar of the renovated farmhouse. The vineyards around the villa are situated against the slope at an altitude of 350 metres. The Miraval wines have an excellent quality and are elegant and refined.
The Montagne Sainte-Victoire is a limestone massif in the south of France, close to Aix-en-Provence.
