Summer of 1995. The vineyard enjoys a hot and dry season. Abundant and fleshy grapes promise a memorable harvest. The harvest begins cheerfully in late September. The vineyard keeps its promises. The grapes are healthy and the harvest generous. During vinification, the beautiful vitality of the fruit produces a juice with pronounced acidity and a robust alcohol content. Double distilled on lees, the brandy is fragrant, sealed with the aromatic seal of a lost year.
Color: Flattering to the eye, brilliant and silky, illuminated by orange highlights. Aroma: This vintage opens subtly with an arpeggio of delicious notes: citrus peel, the brightness of a mandarin. Then it unfolds into spicy aromas of dried peach and gingerbread. A loose bouquet, a subtle symphony. Palate: The 1995 vintage, 25 years old, prominently features orchard aromas, fruit in full bloom evolving on the palate into delicate vanilla and then subtle spicy notes. A warm nutmeg balances the roundness of warm dried apricot. Finesse and balance blend seamlessly until the lingering final note of rancio, long and characteristic of expertly aged cognacs.
