The history of this whiskey contains both American and European oak and that is noticeable. Dark and deep vanilla mixes with tobacco, berries and cherries, after which the oak adds another depth to the whole.
A fantastic indie bottling of Croftengea, a peaty single malt distilled in the Loch Lomond distillery. This was aged for 13 years in a refill hogshead barrel, before being bottled at 255 bottles by North Star Spirits.

Nose: Heavily peated. Smoke and peat with grapefruit from the BBQ, dark chocolate with hints of an oil barrel.
Taste: The flavors of salted caramel, nice with whipped cream, ash and smoke.
Finish: Medicinal and smoky which also lingers for a very long t
