Don Papa Rum is amber in color and has a light, fruity nose and a soft, delicate palate with aromas of vanilla, honey, and candied fruit, followed by a long, complex finish.
Don Papa Rum is a tribute to Papa Isio, a nearly forgotten hero of the Philippine Revolution. Don Papa, formerly a sugarcane plantation overseer, joined the resistance to drive the Spanish rulers from his beloved homeland. Don Papa Rum is distilled on the Philippine island of Negros from the finest sugarcane grown in rich, volcanic soil, giving it its unique flavor. Don Papa Rum is then aged for over seven years in American oak barrels at the foot of Mount Kanlaon.
