Description
Foursquare Mandamus is an exclusive, 16-year-old single blended rum from Barbados, from the renowned Exceptional Cask Selection series. This release is a blend of both pot-still and column-still distillates, all from the same distillery.
Maturation & Production
First matured for 10 years in ex-bourbon casks, followed by a secondary maturation of 6 years in ex-Tawny Port pipes.
Bottled at 57% ABV (cask strength), with no added color, sugar, or flavorings—and not chill-filtered.
Made, aged, and bottled entirely on-site in Barbados, using traditional production methods that define Foursquare.
Flavor Profile & Character
Mandamus offers a rich, complex, and layered flavor experience. Typical aromas and flavors include dark berries, plums, cherries, and sultanas—framed by notes of vanilla, caramel, nuts (hazelnut/walnut), light spices, mocha or dark chocolate, and subtle woodiness. With water development, the rum opens with additional notes of red fruit, spices, warm herbs, and a dry, oaky finish.
