CLIMATE & TERROIR: The grapes for this wine come from
the steep vineyards along the upper reaches of the Adige River.
WINIFICATION: After crushing and gentle pressing, the grapes are fermented at
18°C in temperature-controlled stainless steel
tanks. The wine then matures on the lees for several months.
GRAPES: Gewürztraminer
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 14.00%
ARBON & TASTE: Aromatic wine with characteristic notes of
rose petals, flowers, and spices. Rich, full-bodied, and juicy, yet
fresh and elegant.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Serve at 12-14°C as an aromatic
aperitif and with numerous dishes, including (stuffed) salads,
grilled fish, shrimp, or scallops, vegetable dishes, pasta, and
risottos. This wine also complements mildly spicy and seasoned dishes perfectly!
FACT: Gewürztraminer is named after the town of Tramin
where the grape originated. Elena Walch is also based in Tramin.
