Adelphi Selection Glasgow 10 Year Old – 2026
A characterful and surprisingly powerful Lowland Single Malt from the Glasgow Distillery, selected and bottled by the independent bottler Adelphi. This 10-year-old, unpeated whisky matured entirely in a virgin oak hogshead, beautifully combining Glasgow’s fresh character with rich vanilla, caramel, citrus, and distinctively warm wood spices.

The virgin oak has clearly left its mark on this whisky. Ginger, cinnamon, honey, and caramelized sugar provide warmth and depth, while orange, sour cherries, and creamy vanilla offer a fruity, fresh counterpoint.

Bottled at a robust 58.1% cask strength, this is a full-bodied, powerful whisky with great structure. With only 258 bottles drawn from a single cask, this also marks a special first Adelphi bottling from the Glasgow Distillery.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright amber with a warm, golden-copper glow.

Nose
Rich, sweet, and spicy. Gingerbread and salted caramel are followed by creamy vanilla, honey, and fresh orange zest. Sour cherries add a fruity tension, while cinnamon, a hint of menthol, and fresh oak provide added freshness and depth.

Palate
Full-bodied and powerful. Candied ginger and barley sugar come to the fore immediately, followed by caramelized brown sugar, honey, and vanilla. Orange and citrus provide freshness, while sage, cinnamon, and dark chocolate lend a spicy, slightly bitter depth. The virgin oak imparts a firm structure and distinct wood spices.

Finish
Long, warm, and comforting. Notes of honey, cinnamon, and caramelized sugar linger on the palate. Next, orange peel, dark chocolate, and spicy oak emerge increasingly clearly. A slightly drying note of wood rounds off the finish beautifully.
