The whisky combines Glenfiddich’s signature fruity character with influences from five different cask types: first-fill bourbon casks, port pipes, Oloroso sherry casks, wine casks, and a subtle finishing touch from Fino sherry casks. This combination results in a rich, multi-layered flavor profile, where stewed fruits and floral aromas harmonize with creamy sweetness and refined woody notes. The outcome is an elegant, silky-smooth whisky with a beautiful balance of fruit, caramel, and oak. - Nose: Rich aromas of stewed fruit and ripe orchard fruits, complemented by delicate floral notes. Adding a few drops of water brings out the fresh, ripe fruit notes even more prominently. - Taste: Smooth, creamy, and silky in texture, with a pronounced sweetness of buttery toffee and caramelized cane sugar. Notes of ripe fruit and soft vanilla are complemented by refined woody spices. The dry tannins from the oak provide a pleasant counterpoint, lending the whisky added balance and structure.
