Adelphi Selection Glenlossie 15 Year Old – 2026
An elegant and refined Speyside Single Malt from Glenlossie, selected and bottled by the independent bottler Adelphi. This 15-year-old whisky matured entirely in a first-fill bourbon barrel, beautifully complementing Glenlossie’s fresh, fruity character with creamy vanilla, honey, and soft wood spices.
Bottled at a robust 59.7% cask strength, this single-cask release demonstrates that power and elegance can go hand in hand. Despite the high alcohol content, the whisky remains remarkably fresh and accessible, offering plenty of ripe orchard fruit, creamy sweetness, and subtle spice.
With only 223 bottles drawn from a single cask, this is a distinctive, small-batch expression of Glenlossie.
Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright gold with a warm, light amber glow.
Nose
Fresh, fruity, and inviting. Ripe pear, green apple, and juicy peach form the foundation. These are followed by creamy vanilla custard, honey, and soft caramel. Lemon zest adds freshness, while malty biscuit and lightly toasted oak provide added depth.
Palate
Full-bodied and creamy, with a lovely balance between sweetness and freshness. Apple compote and ripe pear are enveloped by sweet vanilla and honey. Barley sugar and almond biscuit provide a soft, almost creamy sweetness, while citrus, white pepper, and subtle wood spices add a lively edge.
