Hatozaki Pure Malt is a vatting of 100% malt whiskies. These were matured in ex-bourbon casks, ex-sherry casks, and casks made of Japanese Mizunara oak, giving the whisky a rich profile.
The Hatozaki Lighthouse is the oldest stone lighthouse in Japan and has been guiding ships along the coast since 1620. The Kaikyo Distillery is located very close to this lighthouse, which symbolizes reliability and openness to the world.
Aroma: Rich and sweet with cereal notes.
Taste: Malty with dried fruit.
Finish: Medium-long with a hint of smoke and honey.
