Specialty malt has arrived with Ambir, the third single malt release from Holyrood. Designed to highlight the velvety textures and sweet flavours that specialty malts like Crystal 240 and Caramalt provide, this expression is the result of a collaborative effort by the entire Holyrood team, from concept through to creation.
Ambir is crafted as the perfect after-dinner dram and possibly even dessert. It serves as a tribute to sweet Scottish flavours, offering notes of creamy fudge and traditional Scottish tablet on the nose, followed by a rich wave of vanilla on the palate, and finishing with a subtle savoury edge. This is a whisky to savour slowly, ideal for sitting back and appreciating each layer. And for those with a sweet tooth, it might just be hard to share.
