FOURSQUARE INDOMITAS 2010–2025 62% 70CL Foursquare Indomitas is a serious Barbados release with a story you can taste. This is a single blended rum, composed of two rums both distilled in 2010: one from a pot still and one from a Coffey column still, then expertly combined. Fully tropically matured and bottled in 2025 at 62%, with an edition of 4,800 bottles. The structure is particularly interesting due to the maturation: one component received 15 years ex-bourbon aging, the other a double maturation of 6 years ex-bourbon followed by 9 years ex-cognac cask. Expect structure, dry precision, and layering, with bourbon vanilla and coconut that blend beautifully with the rounder, noble wood tones and candied fruit layer from the cognac casks. Tasting Notes
Aroma
Layered and mature with dried fruit and nuts, followed by citrus zest and refined wood notes. Then toasted accents emerge, with caramel and ripe stone fruit in the background. Everything smells tight and concentrated, with that typical Foursquare balance between richness and dry structure.
Taste
Full and expressive. Vanilla and coconut from the ex-bourbon casks open up, then shifts towards candied fruit and spicy caramel. The ex-cognac aging lends a rounder, noble woody depth, with an elegant, tannic grip that tightly outlines the sweeter notes. The 62% provides power and texture, yet the profile remains controlled and precise.
Finish
Long, dry, and layered with dry spices and pepper, followed by cocoa and noble woods. Subtle toasted notes build into an elegant, precise finish that lingers for a long time.
