The Kanosuke 2022 Limited Edition is a cask strength single malt that embodies the distillery's concept of "Mellow Land, Mellow Whiskey". To produce the expression, the Master Distillers in Kanosuke spirit used all three of the distillery's unique pot stills, which were then aged for a minimum of 3 years in various cask types, but mainly ex-Shochu, before being blended together and bottled . The result is a smooth, flavourful expression that brings an incredible array of rich, fruity and smooth aromas and flavors to the table.
Tasting Note: The nose offers a treat of fragrant citrus, vanilla, lemon tea and green apples, before the palate arrives with sweet, sticky honey, cinnamon spice and light hints of grapefruit that help bring the palate back down to earth. The finish is medium long and starts sweet, then grapefruit brings a light but pleasant bitterness that lasts until the next sip.
