CLIMATE & TERROIR: The grapes for this wine come from
vineyards on the steep, chalky slopes along the upper reaches of
the Adige River.

stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation and aging
take place in large French oak vats.
GRAPES: Lagrein

herbs and spices, cocoa, wild berries, and sweet cherries. The
palate is full, juicy, and elegant, with a beautiful tannic structure that
gives the wine backbone.
SERVING SUGGESTION: Served at 16°C, this is the ideal
accompaniment to poultry, red meat, and mature cheeses.
FACT: Elena Walch was an interior designer and married
winemaker Werner Walch. Over time, she managed her own estate, created her own label, and produces exquisite
quality wines.
Elena Walch is one of the top wineries in Alto Adige. Together with her
two daughters, Elena Walch runs the family business and produces quality wines
that have enjoyed international success. This is not surprising, as Elena Walch
played a leading role in the quality revolution that Alto Adige has undergone in recent
decades. But it's not just the innovations in the vineyard and
cellar that make her wines so exceptional. Her philosophy is also primarily dedicated to
terroir and the idea that the specific characteristics of soil,
(micro)climate, and vineyard work should be optimally expressed in every wine. Sustainability is also a key principle in all facets of wine production. The Castel Ringberg and Kastelaz estates form the
core of the vineyards, which cover a total of approximately 55 hectares. Elena Walch's wines are characterized by their modern, elegant, and refined style.
