The “Amoureuses” vineyard is located due east under the “Musigny” grand cru, overlooking the Vougeot vines. The soil is very poor and the rock level with the ground. After the fierce frost of winter 1985, we replanted the entire vine in 1986. The vine takes root slowly because the presence of this rock forces it to fight in order to dive and strengthen its base.
