Cameronbridge 32 Years Old Murray McDavid Mission Gold 1992 is a limited release of single grain whisky from Cameronbridge, the largest grain distillery in Europe. Founded in 1824, Cameronbridge has prospered from a significant lineage that helped shape today’s whisky industry. It was the first distillery to use the patent still, also known as the column still, producing grain spirit that helped establish many famous blends around the world. This rare bottling from independent bottler Murray McDavid presents the spirit in its pure form. The whisky was distilled in 1992 and first matured in bourbon barrels. It was then finished in ex-rum casks from the iconic Uitvlugt Distillery in Guyana, which closed in 2000, imbuing the silky, sweet Cameronbridge spirit with the tropical cask influences lent from a lost legend of the Caribbean. Aromas of buttery grain, fresh apple and liquorice are followed by vanilla fudge, sweet ginger and chai latte on the palate. The finish is oily and lingers on leathery fruits and mellow spices. Only 720 bottles of Cameronbridge 32 Years Old Murray McDavid Mission Gold 1992 have been released.
