Penedès is a wine region in Catalonia that has become world-famous for its
Cava. White Cava is made from local grapes such as macabeo, parellada, and
xarel-lo, often complemented with Chardonnay. Mistinguett produces several types of
Cava and aims to pay tribute to all the women who work hard every day to
make their dreams come true. Mistinguett is named after the famous
French actress and singer Mistinguett, who lived between 1875 and 1956.
Mistinguett—a pseudonym for Jeanne Florentine Bourgeois—was at the time
the highest-paid entertainer in the world.
