Croftengea is a peated distillery distilled by the Loch Lomond distillery near Glasgow. Like Inchfad and Inchmurrin, these are peated malt distilleries. The Loch Lomond distillery is unique. It can distill both malt spirits in copper stills and grain whisky in coffee stills. A total of 5 million liters of malt spirit is produced, and 3.5 million liters of grain spirit, which, after maturing in oak, is shipped worldwide in large quantities.
Murray McDavid
Founded in 1994 by Mark Reynier, Simon Coughlin, and Gordon Wright, and since 2000 also the owners of Bruichladdich, which was sold in 2012. Aceo Ltd. acquired Murray McDavid in 2013 and a year later, its home on the site of the former Coleburn distillery in the heart of Speyside. One of the first companies to use a variety of interesting casks to bring maturation to perfection. Coleburn's traditional Victorian dunnage warehouses hold thousands of casks of whisky from over ninety different distilleries. They bottle only the finest in six distinct categories:
Mission Gold: Old and rare whiskies
Benchmark: Beautifully matured whiskies
Mystery Malt: Whiskies to puzzle over and marvel at
Select Grain: Rare grain whiskies
The vatting: Top single malts blended to perfection
Crafted Blend: A combination of beautiful single malt and grain whiskies.
All whiskies are carefully selected to highlight the art of maturation and blending.
