A new Scottish independent whisky bottling company unveils four remarkable expressions… Living Souls, a dynamic new Scottish spirits brand specialising in small batch and single cask releases, has announced its official launch in late 2024. The independent bottler’s inaugural collection, Batch #1, showcases four exceptional whiskies and sets the bar high for quality and craftsmanship!
Living Souls is the brainchild of three industry contemporaries: John Torrance, a spirits acquisition specialist who was previously Head of Operations at Douglas Laing and Managing Director at Tullibardine; Jamie Williamson, founder of UK spirits distributor Kilninian Drinks Co.; and Calum Leslie, founder of PeatReekers and former Head of Innovation at Loch Lomond Group.
A special, and very unique Scotch with a special story… This whisky was born by accident on an island with a rich history, linked to the Clan MacLean. A combination of an 18 year old Island Malt (not Islay) and a touch of 3 year old grain whisky (less than 0.1%) has resulted in this unexpected creation. Due to the unintended composition, the whisky cannot be classified as a Single Malt, but it is certainly special! And despite that 0.1% young grain whisky, this is a very mature dram, a great whisky for this price! Bottled at 46.3% alc
