The House

The Perrier-Jouet Champagne House was founded in 1811 by Pierre Perrier and his wife, Adèle Jouët. Produced from exceptional terroirs in Champagne (Aÿ, Mailly-Champagne, Avize and Cramant), the house's cuvées are known for their unique style, a blend of aromatic richness, refinement and subtlety. Perrier-Jouët became the official champagne of Queen Victoria and subsequently of the French Imperial Court in 1861.

Owned by the Champagne company GH Mumm since 1959, the House Perrier-Jouët is particularly distinguished by the iconic bottle of its prestigious cuvée "Belle Époque", created by Émile Gallé in 1969.

The wine

The Blason Rosé from the House of Perrier-Jouët brilliantly combines all the qualities of a great champagne wine: finesse, freshness, roundness and softness.

Winemaking and maturation

Harvested manually, the grapes undergo alcoholic fermentation in thermoregulated, stainless steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation. This cuvée, with a dosage of 8 to 11 g/liter depending on the year, enjoys a maturation process that more than twice exceeds the appellation criteria.

Blend

The Blason Rosé cuvée from the House Perrier-Jouët is made from a blend of Pinot Noir (50%, part of which is vinified red), Chardonnay (25%) and Pinot Meunier (25%).

Tasting

Colour

The wine has a beautiful salmon color.

Nose

The intense nose seduces with its delicate aromatic complexity, in which notes of pomegranate, red fruit and blood orange are mixed. Some subtle floral accents are accompanied by butter and brioche notes.

Taste

The attack is intense and lively in the mouth. This is a wine with character: rich, long and spacious, with a complex and persistent aftertaste.

Wine-food combinations

The Blason Rosé cuvée from the House Perrier-Jouët goes perfectly with fish (salmon, red mullet), duck fillet or lamb accompanied by red fruit (cranberries), or even with a dessert of red forest fruits, white chocolate and vanilla foam.
