Country: Italy
Winery / Region: DOC Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico, Marche
Grape variety(ies): Verdicchio 100%
Alcohol: 13.5%
Type: White, fresh - fruity
Description: The color is sparkling straw yellow with greenish sheen. The wine has a delicate, elegant scent, with notes of yeast and fresh bread and hints of hawthorn and broom. Tastes nice and fresh and has a fairly intense, harmonious taste, in which the almond bitterness is slightly reflected (which is typical of verdicchio)
Gastronomy: Serve 9-10°C. Due to its striking scent and structure, a good aperitif or meal wine.
Additional Information: The Azienda Agricola Piersanti is located in Cupramontana, the beating heart of the Verdicchio di Jesi region. They make a number of Verdicchios, of different levels. This “311” is named after the altitude of the vineyard: 311m above sea level. This is important; at this altitude it is considerably cooler than on the coast, which means the grapes can be harvested later and have more to offer aromatically.
A delicious wine with all kinds of fish dishes or white meat
