The Macallan 1824 Series Rare Cask Release 2024 is a Speyside single malt from The Macallan distillery. Of all the casks maturing at Easter Elchies Estate, less than 1% were deemed suitable for Rare Cask. The Rare Cask is composed of 16 different cask types. All are sherry casks of both American and Spanish oak, married together and bottled at 43% ABV. This is the 2024 release.
Nose: Smooth with notes of rum raisins, vanilla, apples, milk chocolate, citrus, and light spice.
Palate: Spicy and rich with chocolate, raisins, toasted oak, vanilla, apricots, and walnuts.
Finish: Full and warm with citrus and a hint of smoke.
