Red Spot 15 Years is a special single pot still Irish whiskey from Ireland, produced by Mitchell & Sons, a family business with a rich tradition dating back to 1805. This whiskey matures for at least fifteen years in a carefully selected combination of American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry casks and Sicilian Marsala wine casks. This unique cask combination creates a complex and layered whiskey, in which the character of the traditional Irish pot still distillate beautifully comes together with influences from different types of wood and wine. Red Spot 15 Years is a tribute to the heritage of the famous Spot whiskeys and is known for its rich, full flavor and distinctive character. The name ‘Red Spot’ refers to the unique color coding system that Mitchell & Sons have used since the 19th century to distinguish their different whiskeys. This whiskey is a real treat for lovers of complex, fruity and spicy Irish whiskeys and takes a prominent place within the assortment of the Spot series.

Tasting notes
Colour: Deep amber.
Aroma: Intense and rich, with pot still spices, cooked fruit compote, baked apple, tropical mango and black cherry. Supported by notes of hazelnut, a touch of new leather and toasted American oak.
Taste: A mix of ripe fruit sweetness from the Marsala wine barrels, with the fruit lingering for a long time. Sweet red pepper and cracked black pepper provide a spicy touch, complemented by notes of American oak and barley.
Finish: Long and persistent, with an infusion of fruit and spices that lingers on the tongue.
