A fine, well-refined second-ever Roseisle expression, with smoothly integrated aromas and rising flavors that defy the complexity of its marriage of three spirits [grassy, nutty, and fruity] in distinctly different cask types.
Matured in refill and ex-bourbon American oak.
Color: Deep amber, with coppery hues. Very fine brilliance and lovely legs.
Nose: Mild in feel. The top note is slightly vinous, supported by a slightly tart fruitiness reminiscent of unripe red berries and creamy vanilla fudge.
Body: Medium.
Palate: Smooth, ultra-creamy, and richly textured, initially sweet, with hints of vanilla icing and vanilla ice cream, immediately balanced by a spirit-spicy complexity that brings a rich fruitiness.
Finish: Fairly long, with a richly sweet and slightly spicy finish, with a controlled peppery warmth.
