The Sakurao Sauternes Cask Finish is a Japanese single malt whisky from the Sakurao distillery. This release in the Sakurao Discovery series was matured in bourbon casks followed by an 18-month finish in ex-Sauternes dessert wine casks. This Japanese whisky was then bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill-filtered, and without added color.
Nose: Sweet with notes of honey, apple, and cinnamon
Palate: Sweet and creamy with notes of custard, banana, pear, and honey
Finish: Long with abundant honey influences and ripe fruit
