Sedosa is a series of wines from the winery of four old friends who studied oenology together in Spain. After their studies, they lost touch and
all four gained experience in various wine regions around the world. In each
region, they learned all about different techniques and the characteristics of
numerous grape varieties and blends. After many years, they reunited
in central Spain, in Castilla-La Mancha. They pooled their
knowledge and experience and together founded the ambitious winery Sedosa, where
they make modern, accessible wines for everyday use. Sedosa uses
not only international grape varieties but also indigenous Spanish varieties
such as Verdejo, Viura (Macabeo), and Tempranillo.
CLIMATE & TERROIR: A climate with warm summers and cold
winters. The terroir features calcareous sandy and loamy soils full of
gravel. VINIFICATION: Fermentation takes place at a constant temperature to maximize the fruity aromas of the grapes in the wine.
GRAPES: Tempranillo (80%), Syrah (20%)
ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 13.50%
ARBON & TASTE: Fruity and juicy with notes of blueberries and strawberries. Silky aromas of chocolate and tobacco can also be detected in the wine.
SERVING SUGGESTION: An excellent aperitif and a perfect accompaniment to Jamón Ibérico, but also suitable for serving with meat dishes or poultry.
TIP: Sedosa means "silky" and refers to the wine's soft flavor.
