About Seventy One Gin
Seventy One Gin is a premium gin originally from the Netherlands. Launched in 2016, the brand has become increasingly well-known, primarily for its quality and unique character. The name "Seventy One" refers to the 71 nights the gin spent aging in three different oak barrels for the perfect balance of flavor.
Seventy One is a blended gin made from separately distilled botanicals, including grapefruit peel, wild ivy, tea leaves, and Damask rose.
Fitting for the name Eau de Nuit, and the fact that the gin is ultimately crafted in a similar way to perfume, the gin contains the extremely rare flower of the Queen of the Night cactus, which blooms only once a year in the North American desert. This flower opens only at night and withers before sunrise.
Seventy One Gin is known not only for its flavor but also for its appearance. The bottles are stylish and have a luxurious appearance, contributing to the brand's premium status. The elegant bottle, designed by Mert Alas, resembles a column of cut glass, a truly classic expression of pure Art Deco. A matte, embossed label features glossy black typography and the dreamy SEVENTY ONE seal, on which the mythological figure of Krotos appears. This Greek, satyr-like creature wields the Queen of the Night flower while dancing beneath the stars of a crescent moon—a nod to Alas's Turkish origins. Krotos, the legendary creator of applause, symbolizes the love of music and the hunt, making him the perfect mischievous mascot for SEVENTY ONE's nighttime parties, antics, and adventures.
