This 15-year-old whisky is matured entirely in sherry casks, resulting in a rich, full-bodied flavour profile with notes of dark fruit, chocolate, and nuts. Springbank’s signature light smokiness is complemented by a subtle, briny maritime influence and spicy oak notes. A complex and robust whisky, offering a fine balance between sweetness, smoke, and oak.
Tasting Note
- Nose: Rich aromas of dark chocolate, toffee, dried figs, and plums, complemented by toasted nuts, cloves, and a hint of smoke.
- Palate: Full and creamy, featuring raisins, figs, walnuts, and dark chocolate. Caramel-like sweetness and warm spices are interwoven with smoky notes, tobacco, and a subtle briny influence.
- Finish: Long and warming, with notes of sherry, oak, walnuts, and leather, supported by lingering peat smoke and a delicate, salty character.
