Ruby red wine with granite shimmers. The bouquet, after decanting the wine, is overwhelming, wonderful hints of Mediterranean herbs and flowers can be discovered, complemented by the scents of dark chocolate, liquorice, black cherries and spices. The taste is lush, with deep fruit of black currants and dark forest fruits. The intensity of the wine is exceptional, with fresh acidity and ripe tannins in the beautiful lingering finish.
Lodovico is the absolute top wine of the Tenuta di Biserno domain. Lodovico is only available in very limited quantities. Only 8,000 bottles were produced in total. The wine is composed largely of Cabernet Franc, followed by Merlot, and, in very small amounts, Petit Verdot.
